Robin Roberts

Robin Roberts grew up in West Texas.  He farmed, day worked for area ranchers and finally migrated to the oil patch.

In 1999 the trail fever hit and he traveled across the nation driving an 18-wheeler.

“After seeing the beautiful landscapes and wildlife across American, I just had to record them somehow,” said Robin.

One day while delivering a load of freight in rural Ohio, Robin rounded a corner in Amish country and came upon a sight which changed his life.

“I saw an Amish farmer with a broad-brimmed straw hat and black suspenders sitting on a two-row cultivator drawn by two Clydesdale horses.  They were in a small field of corn about two feet tall.  The sun had only been up for about an hour.”

The idea came to Robin that only a photograph could convey this beautiful scene accurately and do it justice.  So he bought a camera and the photography bug hit.  He read and studied every book he could find and took thousands of pictures.

The passion continues to grow.

“I still haven’t photographed the Amish farmer, but someday I will,” says Robin.

Robin is blessed to have a beautiful wife, Charlotte, who shares his passion for of seeking out God’s awesome creations. Some of their favorite times together are spent  searching for and discovering photographic opportunities.
